1. Organization Unit & Job Purpose (why does the unit exist? What are the results the unit is expected to deliver?)
The role pertains to:
Leading the Functional & Business Analysis for Customer Profitability Report (CPR), Global MI & Dashboard initiative specifically for Retail & Wealth Management and Corporate & Institutional banking as part of the Group wide MIS Standardization initiative
Participate in Requirement gathering, requirement detailing, understanding business data flow of business finance domain and supporting MIS standardization and automation.
Working closely with Business finance teams for detailed requirements gathering and documentation of report specific business logic
Working closely with Data Modeling and Business Intelligence teams to provide necessary inputs and oversee the operationalization of BI & Dashboard setup for Business Finance as per requirements
Participate in performing Level 1 User Acceptance testing and ensuring deliverables are aligned to Business Needs Perform necessary reconciliations of CPR with General Ledger, and other customer reporting databases.
2. Detailed Job Responsibilities
The detailed responsibilities of the role include the following: Drive detailed business requirements and specifications jointly with Business Finance Team. Analyze the Business finance reporting requirements and identify any BI rationalization & standardization opportunities
across businesses and group entities; Propose and agree on the same with Business finance team. Document key business requirements such as drill down / drill thru needs and drill down hierarchies, dimensional
analysis requirements, user inter-actability for dashboards, GL Reconciliation Framework, Approach to define & pass adjustment entries for specific scenarios, Self-Service needs & requirements, Report & Dashboard delivery by specific timelines daily and design alignment to meet the same etc.
Prepare detailed Business & Functional Specifications Document covering all key requirements & Plan for walk-through of detailed business & functional specifications document with Business Finance and seek necessary sign off
Analyze BI & Dashboard Reporting requirements and document detailed: o Business Logic for all distinct Reporting Dimensions and define Dimension Hierarchies o Business Logic for all distinct Reporting Line Items and define necessary hierarchies as needed o Business Logic for all distinct Metrics reported across various Reports o Document Report & Dashboard wise Business logic definitions
Conduct walk-through of requirements with BI and data modeling teams to ensure alignment of requirements understanding
Participate in functional solution design discussions jointly with BI & modeling teams and agree on best fit solution approach to meet business requirements
Demonstrate appreciation of Business Finance domain from a data perspective and participate as a functional lead in modeling decisions jointly with the data modeling team
Define detailed test strategy & test approach for business validations; Participate in performing UAT of key cases, prepare UAT test summaries, raise defects with relevant implementation teams and participate in necessary discussions for closure of the issues. Present UAT findings with Business Finance team and work closely with end users for UAT concurrence & sign off
Ensure business user requirements and project deliverables are covered optimally and work closely with PMO team for overall project planning
Work with various teams to put forth any new processes and plan for a smooth knowledge transition to teams as part of system Go-Live planning
Extend Support for Post Go-Live Stabilization Runs; BAU Run Process / SOP Definition o Definition of detailed Run Activity List along with roles and responsibilities across relevant Finance teams o Approach to pass adjustment entries
